FARM
WALKS: Join us for a farm tour of a truly free range pig
farm in the hills of Mudgee.
James and Georgie Caspar and their young family run a herd of Berkshire
and Berkshire cross pigs on a rotational paddock system on their
farm “Ormiston”. They farm under the three ideals of
Compassion, Quality and Taste. All the pigs are outside for their
whole lives, from the young piglets born in wooden huts in the paddocks
to the growers running about in their shady woodlands. During the
walk you will see how the farm structure enables the best welfare
for the pigs, enjoy a walk through our lovely bushland where you
can say hello to the kangaroos and other wildlife and of course,
meet lots of pigs.
