Clem and Vanessa Cox decided to put their money on quality local produce from the Mudgee Region long before it became fashionable. In fact, they have probably contributed to the success of our Region’s produce by providing producers and loyal customers with a common meeting ground in the form of their retail outlet, Mudgee Gourmet, which they founded in 1997as Heart of Mudgee.

As the region’s food industries grew and diversified, so has the number of Mudgee Gourmet’s suppliers, swelling from the initial seven to nearly 30. Nearly 100 flavours jostle for attention on the tasting table – all drawn exclusively from the Mudgee region.
