MISERY WINE
 A
short and unfolding story of small batch hand crafted wine making
in the Mudgee Valley.
Three friends – multi award winning Ilford winemaker –
flamboyant Rylstone entrepreneur and a well know local Mudgee identity
with a cheerful disposition – who got together with the idea
to craft some stylish wines focusing on the higher altitudes of
Mudgee.
Vineyards are located near 1000 metres above sea level with long
cool nights in Summer producing wondrous full flavoured fruit and
structural acidity.
The delicious and long finishing Riesling 2008, with grapefruit
and minerally complexity searching for BBQ prawns or salt and pepper
squid …. and our first Pinot Noir 2008, redolent with maraschino
cherry and white pepper notes now in stylish French Oak and to be
released soon………..a duck awaits this one!
