Diana
Anderson of Mudgee Harvest has long been a foodie, having enjoyed
great food and wine for many years. When Mudgee beckoned in 1998,
Diana and her husband, refugees from Sydney, threw themselves into
the Mudgee community, growing grapes, making wine and running a successful
restaurant. Since selling this operation, Diana has transferred her
interest into making preserves; a range of jams, pickles and chutneys
made from seasonal fruits and vegetables sourced in Mudgee.
Old family recipes and more contemporary recipes have been developed
to highlight the fresh produce; figs picked from a friend’s
orchard, local organic plums, ripe red local tomatoes and quinces
crafted into an interesting array of delicious products.
The beauty, tranquillity and atmosphere of Mudgee is well known, which
is why visitors flock to the region, but the food products from the
area are an emerging secret and Mudgee Harvest bottles this essence.
The products include Chilli Jam, Fig and Ginger Jam, Eggplant Pickle
and Organic Plum Jam.
