GUNEEMOOROO OLIVES
In the local Wiradjeri language Guneemooroo means the resting place of the wild duck.

Guneemooroo Olive Grove is located 22km south west of Mudgee, at an elevation of 650m, on the NSW Central Tablelands. It sits alongside Old Grattai Road, the original Cobb & Co stagecoach route to the historic gold mining town, and latterly artists retreat, of Hill End, 50km away.

Grattai too was a gold mining settlement.; at the height of the rush, in the mid 1850’s, there were 15,000 miners on the diggings. These are still visible at the end of our road, and accessible, as they are located on an old stock route.

Guneemooroo Olive Grove was purchased in 1997 and developed over the next 2 years. The vineyard, planted in 1980, was connected to the irrigation system in 1998. It produces award winning Cabernet grapes for the Guneemooroo label.
