Mudgee
Fine Food Awards 2011
The judges’
decision is final. The winner is...Mudgee Fine Foods!
The results are in from the national Mudgee
Fine Food Awards for 2011. After intensive days of tasting and evaluation
our discerning judges whittled the 292 food entries received from
all over Australia down to the lucky 104 medalists and 5 major trophy
winners.
On Sunday, 21 August, both locals and supporters
from further afield joined the winners and grinners at the Mudgee
Fine Foods Awards Presentation Lunch at Mudgee Brewery on Church
Street.
15 Gold, 35 Silver and 53 Bronze medals
were awarded as well.
Whilst dining on a unique
menu designed by chef, Rebecca Sutton, using this region’s
fresh produce teamed with many of the award-winning products, and
complemented by the fine wines of Elliot Rocke Estate, guests help
Emcee Mike O’Malley applaude the efforts of these successful
trophy winners:
